Dean of Academics for Upper School
Sarah Arensman has a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, and is working on a Masters of Arts in Professional Communications from East Carolina University. She has previous experience as a Dean of Upper School and Head of School in Concord, NC.
Kay Valaoras received a Bachelor of Science from Furman University and brings 23 years of classroom experience. She joins the Learning Specialist team this year.
Amelia Griffin has a Bachelors of Child and Family Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Education and a Masters of Early Childhood Education from the University of Tennessee.
Grace Ganim comes to us from Charlotte Lab Primary School. She’s had seven years of experience in the classroom and a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education from Duquesne University.
5th-6th Language Arts
Tamiko Greenlee has a Master’s in Education from Strayer University and has 17 years of classroom experience.
6th History, 7th-8th Language Arts
Sedae has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Independence University and a Masters in Christian Education from Union Presbyterian Seminary. She has 3 years of experience in the classroom.
Angela Crawley comes to us with a Bachelor of Science from Tennessee Tech University. She also has 15 years of experience in the classroom.
Dr. Eric Bartel
5th World History, 7th-8th Mathematics
Dr. Eric Bartel has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Northern Michigan University, a Masters of Divinity from Gordon- Conwell Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Biola University. He has 15 years of experience in the classroom.
