VISITOR AND VOLUNTEER POLICY
Purpose
Brookstone Schools has a Visitor’s Policy to ensure the safety of our students and staff. The visitor’s policy has many purposes.
- To enhance the safety of students and staff while maintaining a welcoming environment
- To easily identify visitors, volunteers and parents.
- To assist administrators, school staff, Safety personnel and police in identifying unauthorized visitors.
- To provide administration with the names of people in the school in the event of a school emergency.
Policy
GENERAL:
Everyone entering the building must have their driver’s license or photo ID to Sign-in at our lobby kiosk system.
ALL visitors/volunteers are to report to the Front Desk when entering the building (MLK/Davidson entrance) except by appointment.
ALL visitors/volunteers must sign out in the same manner as signing in.
ALL visitors/volunteers are to wear a visitor or volunteer badge while in the building.
Adults are not allowed to go to the classrooms without prior permission.
If there are extenuating circumstances that the administration needs to be made aware of, please speak with the school office 704-392-6330 (ext 134).
