Brookstone welcomes Odysseus Wallace, Jr., as the school’s first Senior Director of Advancement. With our vision being to reach capacity by adding 40-50 students over the next several years, Odysseus will help us expand fundraising efforts to meet that goal. He joined Brookstone on Oct. 28.
Odysseus has more than a decade of development and Christian youth leadership experience and most recently served as Area Director II at Young Life in Waco, Texas. In that position he was responsible for securing and managing a $430,000 annual budget and recruiting and training a staff and volunteer team of more than 80 members across eight ministries. During his tenure at the 81-year-old Christian youth ministry, he increased fundraiser revenue by 540 percent. This past August, more than 400 students from four Waco-area high schools attended a citywide event held at Baylor University, which he revived and managed after a two-year hiatus due to COVID shutdowns.
Odysseus attended Grand Canyon and Gardner-Webb Universities and is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals N.C., Charlotte Chapter. He is married to Emily and the couple has two children, Ruby, 3 and Steele, 18 months.
Please join us in welcoming Odysseus and his family to the Brookstone Community!
