Meet the Brookstone Team
A letter from our Head of School
As we celebrate our 20th year here at Brookstone, I believe our mission has never been more needed in our city and nation:
To glorify God by equipping under-resourced students spiritually, socially, and academically for future lives of leadership and service.
We believe we must be a Gospel-driven, academically excellent school to help our students engage their generation for Jesus Christ in faith, virtue, and knowledge (2 Peter 1:5).
But to do this, we need to educate both the mind and the heart. To quote Urban Educator Dr. Vernard Gant, “God’s people have at their disposal the most transformative power in existence—agape love. As such, no one education should be able to out-relate and out-educate the Christian educator…[making] the difference beyond the scope of judges, elected officials, education reformers, and the like.”
With God’s help and grace, we seek to shape and mold the minds and hearts of our students, so they will actively love and serve one other as fellow image-bearers of God—sharing the hope that can only be found through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
For at Brookstone, we aim to lay the firm foundation of Jesus in the lives of our city and nation’s future thought-leaders and change-agents.
We pray that you will prayerfully consider having your child join us on this profound and deeply rich journey!
