Every year, Uptown Church throws a "Birthday Party for Jesus" at Brookstone Schools. The party consists of games, crafts, music, breakfast, and Christmas cheer. Birthday Party for Jesus is such a blessing to the Brookstone family as it's a time to come together and celebrate Jesus coming into the world! We're so thankful for Uptown's love for and partnership to Brookstone! Keep reading for stories and pictures from this year's party!
"Three years ago our oldest child was in kindergarten at Brookstone School. Around Thanksgiving we received an invitation to a Birthday Party for Jesus and we went not knowing what to expect. We walked in and were warmly greeted and invited in to the main party room. There were smiling faces all around, some familiar but most of them strangers to us. The kids were drawn in to activities such as face painting, balloon animals, Christmas keepsake ornament crafts and their favorite, a dancing version of musical chairs with loud fun music and cool prizes. In addition to the activities, there was a fun skit, birthday cake and other delicious food." - Carrie Dickenson

"Uptown Church knows how to throw a great party! This past year at the BP4J, we all sat down and had a delicious homemade breakfast together followed by a story about why we celebrate Jesus at Christmas and throughout the year; we played fun games and did crafts together; and each Brookstone student and family went home with a special gift." - Kim Domras

"We were so impressed by the depth of the generosity the host church that sponsors the event shares each year. The number of volunteers is impressive too. I feel the genuine Christian love and servant heart as it was exhibited from the parking lot greeters to the face painters to the fun loving adult men that dance with reckless abandonment with the children to the quiet spirited ladies that served the great abundance of food." - Michael Domras
"The church members are kind and eager to genuinely get to know us and our children. The crafts they put together are meaningful; we have an ornament from each year that brings us good memories when we hang them on our Christmas tree. This year they gave each family a beautiful Christmas devotional book and gave each student two new uniform outfits. We feel seen and known by the members of Uptown Church and it has been a blessing to celebrate the birth of Jesus with them the last three years!" - Carrie Dickenson
"Uptown Church is very intentional about partnering with Brookstone Schools and sharing the Gospel, and this party is just one of many ways they serve God through their partnership with Brookstone Schools. Please do not let another year go by without coming to the Birthday Party for Jesus. It will not disappoint!” - Kim Domras
